WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in routine medical care has rewards for both pets and owners. Our wellness recommendations are designed specifically for your pet and may include annual physical exams, internal parasite testing, heartworm and flea control, vaccinations, spay and neuter and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We will try to determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety, obsessive behavior, aggression, and territory marking, and then develop the best treatment regimen for your pet.

EMERGENCY & CRITICAL CARE

In any emergency, seconds count. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center for after hour, weekend, and holiday care, Sunset Animal Hospital.

PHARMACY

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.  If we do not carry a specific drug your pet needs, we can usually order it and it should arrive within a few business days.

INTERNAL MEDICINE

We cover all areas of internal medicine including: Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic surgery, Oncology, and Endocrinology among others. In some circumstances, our doctors will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery. 
 

RADIOLOGY

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

SURGERY

All patients are carefully screened for safety and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include fully trained veterinary and technical staff, heated surgery tables for greater comfort, advanced sterilization techniques, ECG and oxygen saturation monitors, intensive after surgery care and full blood testing upon request.

MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. We currently offer Michelson Found Animals microchips to our clients. Michelson Found Animals is one of the most popular types of microchip, and as the practice of implanting and scanning for microchips becomes more common, greater numbers of lost pets are found, scanned and returned to their owners.

VACCINATIONS

We strive to stay up to date on the latest vaccination protocols. We tailor the vaccination of your pet to his or her individual needs. This is based on the age, breed, and risk of exposure of your particular pet. Every pet is different and therefore the vaccines that might be appropriate for one pet, may not be appropriate for another pet.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We offer pain medicine in a variety of forms, from chewable tablets, to liquid, to injections.

DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use a modern and safe ultrasound scaler to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES

Spaying or neutering your pet increases his or her chance of a longer and healthier life. Spaying and neutering provides a variety of health benefits for your pet including very low to no risk of mammary gland tumors/cancer, prostate cancer, perianal tumors, pyometra, and uterine, ovarian and testicular cancers.

EUTHANASIA SERVICES

Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

CREMATION SERVICES

We offer cremation services through Fond Memories.

BATHING

If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
